I use this journal to post my writing: Political-economic and cultural criticism, sample chapters from my Novels, Essays on the History and techniques of Swordplay.
I run a one-man gardening business in Eugene. I nurture and/or kill plants.
I can crochet, invent languages, grow my own salad, build a fire 99.9% of the time, hammer nails straight, tie knots correctly, fix my own truck 90% of the time, eat no wheat, drink whiskey neat, build armor, design and sew together a tent, set up and tear down an encampment, occasionally win a Tournament, and so on. I can play the guitar, a little, and shout more or less in key. I can play the drums and the bass, a little.
I am an amateur historian, with varied interests including: Pristine Civilizations, Hellas and Byzantium, Medieval Europe, the Labor Movement, Dada and Surrealism, Lettrists and Situationists. As a sometime anarchist-syndicalist agitator and social critic, I have been known to imagine, construct and/or demolish situations and Spectacles, but only for my own amusement. (Don't call me, do it yourself.)
As far as swordplay goes, I am first of all a student. If you know something and can teach me, I will try to learn. It is not a certain proposition on either end. If I learn something, I try to pay it forward: if you ask, I will try to teach you. If you learn it, then I would expect you to teach it forward.
