I’ve been thinking about... lots of odd things. Here’s one: I had been remembering the last two lines of an old song, ‘Bread and Roses’.

“No more the drudge and idler, ten who toil where one reposes,
But a sharing of life’s glories, bread and roses, bread and roses.”

Here is a link to the history of the song and the strike that inspired it, along with the complete lyrics. Apparently recorded four separate times by John Denver (!) among many others.
